September Wrap Up

Hey guys I’m back for my September wrap up. This month passed by super quick I started my blog a month ago. ALSO October = Fall = Halloween. I love Halloween and fall. Anyway back to the wrap up I didn’t read that many books as I usually do because school started and its killing me on the inside. But I did read quite a few ebooks

BOOKS

  1. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

download (15)

4🌟🌟 🌟🌟

This was my second Rainbow Rowell book, I read Fangirl and fell in love with her writing. A friend has also recommended Eleanor and Park so I decided to pick it up and I was blown away, I loved this book .The ending had me shook, the romance wasnt my fave but still you don’t have to love it to enjoy this book.

2.  The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro

30256105

3 🌟🌟🌟

This is the second book in the Study in Charlotte series. I read the first book in the series a while ago and I  really enjoyed it, sadly I didn’t enjoy the second book as much. I listened to this book instead of reading it and I think that’s why I didnt enjoy it as much. I’ll probably read the third one instead of listening to it.

3. The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James

31lkOrVZAPL._SX329_BO1,204,203,200_

4.5🌟 🌟🌟🌟

This book is totally not what I expected. I completely blew me away, It’s a science fiction book set in space but It’s not like any other science book I’ve ever read, I don’t even think you have to like science-fiction to enjoy this book. As I’ve said this before I’m being super vague but I don’t want to spoil anything. But i totally recommend.

4. Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer

download (16)

5🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟

I Loved this book, It was so sad and such a beautiful contemporary. I love the friendship in this book and how it didn’t feature romance as the main theme, I find this book expresses grief so clearly and realistically. You guys should check it out on goodreads

5 The Wicker King by K. Ancrum

61URfCNsYTL._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_

5 🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟

This book crushed my heart. I love the mentle heath rep in this book.  The romance in this book melted my heart. It was such an emotional book that just hits you so hard. I don’t know how else to explain it, but I’m totally gonna reread it.

6. What if its us by Becky Allbertalli and Adam Silvera

download (14)

4.8🌟 🌟🌟🌟

I already wrote a review for this book so you can go check that out if you wanna see it. This was one of my most anticipated releases and It was worth the wait, I did think that it was a bit two predictable but I still really liked it.

7. The Last Wish of Sasha Cade

34802290

3.5 🌟🌟🌟

So I have a lot of mixed feelings for this book, I was sent a e-copy of this on NetGalley.  I liked the book overral but I didn’t really  enjoy the romance I felt that it was force and too much of insta-love for me.

8. Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

download (17)

5 🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟

I havent technically finished this book I have about 60 pages left but I’m probably gonna finish it tonight so I’m gonna put it in my wrap up anyway. I am loving this book I love the mentle health side of this book, I wasnt the hugest fan of John Greens other books but I’m really loving this one. I’ll probably put up a review when I’m done.

Well that’s it for Books I’m gonna do a little wrap up of all the movies I’ve loved before.

MOVIES

  1. Fantastic Beast

I rewatched fantastic beast earlier this month and  re-fell in love with it. I love Newt Scamander he is one of my favourite characters from the Wizarding World universe. I am so excited for Crimes of Grindelwald I cannot wait till Nov. 16th.

2. Infinity Wars

I re-watched Infinity wars cause I was in the mood, I am also a huge Marvel fan and well the movie made my laugh and cry at the same time

3. The Hunger Games

OH MY GOD…So I rewatched the hunger games because I was in the mood for a book to movie adaptation so I decided to re-watch it and I am now again Hunger Game TRASH I forgot how much I loved the movie. I love Peeta in the movie (FIGHT ME) ok so one of my best friends hates Peeta so we had a very long debate over who was better Peeta or Gale I think Peeta what do you think??

4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two

This movie crushed me as it did the fist few times I watched it. Honest I love the “Always” scene always hits me hard. It was an emotional experience and I was so happy to be back in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Top Four Tuesday

Hey guys today I’m gonna be talking about book to movie adaptations. I have to say I havent seen a lot of them but I’m gonna try my best.

  1. Love Simon — Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

download (10)

I LOVED this movie. I think this is a great example of an amazing book to movie adaptation. They did change a few things which bothered me a bit. But still you have to cut some things when you make a movie.

*SPOILERS*

When I read the book I was 100% percent sure that Leah never liked Simon. But I saw the movie and was immediately confused. I then read Leah On the Offbeat and it might hint that she did like him. Anyway I’m really confuse if in anyone  knows what happened there please let me know in the comments.

*OVER*

Anyway all in all I loved the movie. It even had some P!ATD and Harry Potter refences in there which I loved.

2. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

download (11)

I was very excited for this movie. I watched it once and didn’t like it, I then re-watched it and fell in love. I have to say I enjoyed the book way more. I felt the book was very good it wasnt just another typical girl falls in love story. It still was, but there were all the other themes like coming of age and how she managed without a mother. Which the movie tried to show but in the end it very centered around the love story which makes sense cause in the end that’s what it’s about. I still loved it

3. Harry Potter (1-7) by J.K Rowling

download (12)

I could’t do this without mentioning Harry Potter. Technically it should be first or second but whatever, I love the Harry Potter movies. I think they really try to include everything and I loved that. I did not like that they made characters like Ginny very basic but they tried their best. My favourite movie has to be the 4th one. I don’t know why, but  yeah I think this one is pretty self explanatory.

4. The Book Theif by Markus Zusak

download (13)

I LOVE THIS BOOK. This book got me into reading. I think its amazing and If you havent read it (WELL… READ ITT!). I saw the movie a while ago but by what I remember I really liked it. It captured the nostalgia and sadness of this story. I don’t want to say more because of spoilers but I was left in tears.

And that completes Top Four Tuesday. I hope you liked my selection. There are many other good book to movie adaptations. and as I said I havent read/watched them all. What is your favourite book to movie adoption?

What should I read next?

Hey guys didn’t really know what to post, I just finished “The loneliest girl in the universe” ( I will put up a review soon) and I don’t know what to read next so I’m writing this to hopefully get some inspiration.

So I’m just gonna put list some of the books that I might feel like reading with their synopsis.

  1. The Case For Jamie by Brittany Cavallaro

image

The last thing Jamie Watson wants is a rugby scholarship to Sherringford, a Connecticut prep school just an hour away from his estranged father. But that’s not the only complication: Sherringford is also home to Charlotte Holmes, the famous detective’s great-great-great-granddaughter, who has inherited  Sherlock’s genius but also his volatile temperament. There’s a tense energy from the moment they meet, but when a Sherringford student dies under suspicious circumstances,  Jamie can no longer afford to keep his distance. They are being framed for murder. *Synopsis for the first book A STUDY IN CHARLOTTE

I read the first book in this series and loved it. Then i listened to the second book and didn’t love it as much. I got my friend into this book and now she says that i have to read it because its amazing and to be quite frank i do want to read it.

2. The Astonishing Colour of After by Emily X.R Pan

Image result for the astonishing color of afterLeigh Chen Sanders is absolutely certain about one thing: When her mother died by suicide, she turned into a bird.
Leigh, who is half Asian and half white, travels to Taiwan to meet her maternal grandparents for the first time. There, she is determined to find her mother, the bird. In her search, she winds up chasing after ghosts, uncovering family secrets, and forging a new relationship with her grandparents. And as she grieves, she must try to reconcile the fact that on the same day she kissed her best friend and longtime secret crush, Axel, her mother was taking her own life.

I have heard amazing reviews for this book and it sounds amazing. I originally say a review on A CLOCKWORK READER channel. I really want to read this book but it’s really long and I don’t have so much time now a days.

3. The Wicker King by K. Ancrum

Image result for the wicker kingWhen August learns that his best friend, Jack, shows signs of degenerative hallucinatory disorder, he is determined to help Jack cope. Jack’s vivid and long-term visions take the form of an elaborate fantasy world layered over our own—a world ruled by the Wicker King. As Jack leads them on a quest to fulfill a dark prophecy in this alternate world, even August begins to question what is real or notNo one expects a princess to be brutal.

August and Jack struggle to keep afloat as they teeter between fantasy and their own emotions. In the end, each must choose his own truth

I have been wanting to read this book for over a year and I haven’t picked it up. It sound so amazing and PAPERFURY loves this book and the review’s for this book all sound so amazing.

4. And I Darken By Kiersten White

No one expects a princess to be brutal. And Lada Dragwlya likes it that way. Ever since she and her gentle younger brother, Radu, were wrenched from their homeland of Wallachia and abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman courts, Lada has known that being ruthless is the key to survival. An unseen sword hovering over their every move. Lada despises the Ottomans and bides her time, planning her vengeance for the day when she can return to Wallachia and claim her birthright. When they meet Mehmed, the defiant and lonely son of the sultan, Radu feels that he’s made a true friend—and Lada wonders if she’s finally found someone worthy of her passion. But Mehmed is heir to the very empire that Lada has sworn to fight against. Together, Lada, Radu, and Mehmed form a triangle that strains the bonds of love and loyalty.

This book sounds so amazing. I love historical fiction. But I’m debating whether I should read it because its fantasy and im not really in a fantasy mood at the moment

So this is the end of the wierd post. I think I might end up reading The wicker King but I’m not sure. If you have any opinion on what I should read next, in this list or not comment down below.

TOP FOUR BOOKS THAT MADE ME CRY

Todays post is all about emotional books.

Do you cry in books??

YES. I used to never cry but then I started reading all these really sad books and now I’ll cry 50% of time. Sometimes I cry not necessarily in sad books but joyful ones. Anyway today for Top 5 Tuesday I’m gonna tell you guys the top five books that made me cry.

  1. The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas

Related imageBooksandbabbles

This book made me cry soooo much. If you haven’t read this book….READ IT. Its tells an amazing story about racism, racial profiling, criminal injustice, and just what society has become. So in summary just GO BUY IT! no but seriously…go buy it. It’s actually is turning into a movie and it comes out Oct.19 (I’m pretty excited). Anyway this book was so emotional and it just shows everything she had to go through, I can’t say more (for spoilers) but I was crying a lot while reading this.

2. Eliza and her monsters by Francesca ZappiaImage result for eliza and her monsters

I love this book. Francesca Zappia is one of my all time favourite authors and I love her books. I really recommend her. This story is about Eliza who has anxiety and writes a very popular web comic called Monstrous Sea but nobody knows that she writes them and much prefers the online world. Until one day a guy called Wallace comes to her school and turns out to be a fanfiction writer for her comic. They slowly become friends and she breaks out of her shell until one day her secret is shared with the world and everything begins to fall apart. This story is centered around anxiety and how she deals with it. I have anxiety and this book really came to me when I needed it. I was left in tears at the end because I could  really relate to what she was feeling.  The ending is not particularly sad but I was crying a lot while reading it.

3. Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer

Related image                -paperfury

I’m actually currently reading this book and i love it. It’s about two teens who lost someone dear to them start writing letters. It all happens when Juliette (one of the main protagonist) writes a letter to her dead mom, Declan finds it, reads it and responds. They then star talking to each other through letters and email. I’m not done the book so I can’t say more but it’s a very sad book (in my opinion) and amazingly written. I cried cause you can feel the grief the two of them are carrying and if you’ve ever lost a family member then you can relate

4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling

I’m sure a lot of you have read Harry Potter and if you haven’t well that’s okay there is still time. but this book is incredible sad.

*SPOLIER WARNING FOR HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS*

This book was so sad I cried so much. My favourite characters in the whole Harry POtter series where the weasly twins and then fred diedddd!!!! I was so sad. Also Dolby died which was just cruel (#Dobbywillalwaysbeafreeelf), then Lupin deid, so did Tonks 😭😭 and Moody. UGH ITS JUST SO SADDDDD 😭😭

*SPOILERS OVER*

SO yeah that is one of the saddest books every so many good characters that passed away.

SO those wear my top 4 saddest books. THere are others and they are not in order but I hope you liked my post. What is the saddest book you have ever read?? Let me know in the comments.
