Hey guys! I’m super behind on reviews so I decided to do this for and ARC that I read in September?? October?? Anyway I should have done this review a long time ago.

This was one of my first e-arcs to receive, It came out during the autumn and i should have really done this review before. I enjoyed this book, it was cute. i have to say this is a book with great platonic friendship. What i found very interesting about this book was the plot and how most books about grief are mostly about handling with it but this one was so sweet.

DISLIKES:

I have to say though I have a few dislikes. First thing was the romance in this story, honestly it felt forced and honestly not needed. It was personally to clichee and I didn’t enjoy the whole “Bad Boy” and “Goody Too Shoes”. The other fact was that I sometimes felt that the author “romanticized” Sasha death. It was almost like the “love relationship” (I don’t want to spoil) fixed everything, again this was for some moments in the book not everything.

CHARACTERS:

Honestly my favourite character was Sasha you didn’t really meet her personally but by everything she was doing and what she was portraying you kinda felt like you knew her. I didn’t like Raquel much but that’s just a personal opinion

Well that concluded my review also sorry it’s so short, also ive been inactive for a long time because I had a lot of things going on and personally couldn’t keep up with the pressure that I would put on myself but I’m slowly coming back.

So since for all of October I only did Blogoween so I sadly couldn’t do any reviews, but its November now so be ready for lots of them. Today I’m gonna review The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzie Lee (the second book in the Montauge siblings series)

A Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy 5 🌟

Anyway if you’ve read the first book or want to, this review wont contain any spoilers. I read the first book during the summer and didn’t really enjoy it, which really surprised me because I had heard a lot of positive feedback on it. Anyway I saw this book on edelweiss (thank you so much to them for sending me an e-arc) and decided to read it and give this series a second chance and hope to enjoy it more than the first one.

I ended up loving up this book, it was everything I hoped The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue to be. It was funny and entertaining, also I loved the LGBTQ+ rep in the book. Felicity was just such a good protagonist she was sassy, clever and quite realistic. I hate it when authors make very 1 dimensional main characters. I loved the little Monty/Percy moments we got during the book. The thing that made me decided to give this series a second chance, is that there are so many plot-twist and the book really has more to it that the synopsis would suggest.

DISLIKES:

Even though I gave this book a 5/5 which it totally deserved. There are a few things that I wanted to talk about. THis is a very fast paced book so sometimes I got a bit confused but to be honest that happens to me in 70% of books. The other thing that is pretty related to this is that sometimes as I said it would be very fast pace while in other times it would drag on a bit, but it has a very big plot with many sub-plots so that makes sense

CHARACTERS:

Can we just talk about the golden trio right here Johanna/Sim/Felicity those three just stole the show they were each so different but all opinionated (which we love) sure at first they wanted to kill each other but they became quite good friends in the end. I just love how this set in the 1800’s but that it never stopped them.

Sim: We stan our feisty queen I have to say that I didn’t like her that much at first but by the end of the book she was an amazing character.

So I’m kinda to lazy to talk about everyone but they were all amazing characters expect for the antagonist.

Well that concludes my review of The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy it wasn’t one of my all-time favourites but for sure a 5 🌟 .

Hey Guy’s I’m back! And it’s Halloween!!! Sadly I didn’t get to 13 post (for blogoween) but hey I tried my best anyway for today’s prompt I’m gonna list my top 5 non-horror but Halloween movies and shows.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

I love this movie so much. I’m always so confused if it’s a Christmas or a Halloween movie. But either way I think it’s a Halloween classic.

2. The chilling adventures of Sabrina

This is a new show that Netflix recently added for Halloween, I’m not done watching it but it’s pretty good so far.

3. Harry Potter and the philosophers stone

I had no idea some people considered this a Halloween movie but I’ll take any opportunity to watch Harry Potter.

4. Stranger Things

I love Stranger Things, I have to confessed I haven’t finished it but I still love it. Technically this isn’t Halloween related but I think it’s a really “eerie” show and fits in.

5. The Addams family

And for last I have to go with a classic “The Addams Family”.

Blogoween#11 ( Halloween colours)

Halloween is tomorrow. So I’m gonna make my own prompt for today cause I’m too lazy to look for another one. I think that there is a lot of controversy about which are really the “Halloween colours”. Some people say its Orange, Black, Purple, Red, White and even Green. The first prompt that I did for blogoween was autumn covers so I thought I’d round it off by making a Halloween colour/cover post.

1. Green

In Halloween the colour green is associated with monsters, slime and ghouls stuff in general.

Those are some of my favourite green covers and books.

2. Red

I feel like red is mostly associated with blood and vampires.

I love all of these covers and they are some of my favourite books so I 100% recommend.

3. Orange

Honestly I have no idea why this is a Halloween colour, oh maybe pumpkins. But it’s always been put with halloween.

I just finished Far from the tree and its amazing and I’m completely obsessed with the cover.

4. Purple

I always found that purple was always a witchy colour, you know? Like super mysterious

I had to include Harry Potter.

5. Black

Black like the darkness and Death…~~thats morbid~~.

I mean technically City of Ghost is grey-ish but whatever.

Well that’s it, I chose not to do white cause there aren’t a lot of white books, but I’m guessing that the white came from ghosts.

Blogoween #10 (Halloween In A Fictional World)

Hey people!! Blogoween is almost over, and It’s been really fun (a bit stressful at time) but overall fun. Todays prompt or yesterdays (im not sure) is which Fictional World you would want to spend Halloween in.

Ok so I’m gonna give the most used answer (probably) and…The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!

I mean that looks pretty cool right? I feel like Hogwarts is the #1 place to spend Halloween.

Thats sounds pretty good if you ask me. I can’t think of any other fantasy worlds that would be really cool to be during Halloween, but I’ve been taking a break from fantasy and reading more mystery and contemporaries reads.

I started this book about 3 days ago, and it’s really good so far. I’m only 80 pages in so we’ll see how it turns out.

2.Furyborn

I was able to get my hands on an e-arc of it, because I didn’t own the book and I wanted to read it. Its amazing so far, I wasn’t so invested at first but in the spam of one chapter to another, I became invested.

Blogoween #8 (Barley Breathing, Forever Haunted)

Hey fellow booknerds!! I’m here for my 8th Blogoween. Also I have to do 5 more of these in 7 day Send help. But today’s prompt is all about books that left you emotionally crippled. I have so many of these, that this should be easy.

1. The Book Thief by- Markus Zusak

If you don’t know me Hi hello. I’m obsessed with The Book Thief. It’s one of my all time favourite books. I love Markus Azusa is writing it’s so beautiful. This book crush my soul in approximately 10 million pieces. And I’m still not over it. I recommend this book like 1010%. The ending had me sobbing so did the movie which you should watch if you haven’t. It’s a historical Fiction story set in WW2.

2. Elenor and Park by- Rainbow Rowell

This book BrOkE me. I don’t really know why, dont get me wrong, it’s an amazing book but it’s not one of my all-time favorites. I remember when I finished reading this book I was just sitting there for 5 minutes. The ending shocked me (I’m not gonna spoil anything) I just didn’t think that it would end this way.

3. The Hate U Give by- Angie Thomas

I almost forgot about this book and I’m almost mad at myself for it. THUG is amazing. It’s such an amazing book and If you haven’t read it. ~~READ IT~~. this book was so impacting. I haven’t watch the movie yet (but I will soon (hopefully) but I’m just ready to be emotionally broken.

4. Blood for Blood by-Ryan Graudin

Blood by blood left me emotionally scarred. I can’t spoil anything. Lets just say that I forgot that authors are trying to leave you emotianally scarred. I love the Wolf by wolf duology and all of Ryan Graudin’s books and I can’t wait for the next one.

5. Harry Potter (5-7) by-J.K Rowling

I mean, I had to put this on the list you know? I think HP broke everyone. I still get sad about the way it ended. Also tales of Grindelwald is gonna kill me. Cause I love all the characters so much and If one of them dies I dont know what I’m gonna do.

Hey Guys I’m back from the dead…for my 8th blogoween prompt. I’m kinda falling behind so I’ll be posting more from now on. Anyways, today’s prompt is “sacrifice”which involves having to list a few characters that would die first in a horror film.

1. Ben from What If Its Us – by Becky Alberrtalli and Adam Silvera

I love Ben but I don’t think he would make it that far in a horror movie, I feel like he would come up with a great plan but make a mistake and die.

2. Lara Jean from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

I adore my girl Lara but let’s be real, she would totally get killed first. I mean there is a small possibility that she could survive but she would most probably die first.

3. Alaina Starkov from Shadow and Bone -by Leigh Bardugo

Ok, so if you’ve read the books you know that she is super powerful and all. But I think she’s kinda annoying , personally. Anyways, I don’t think she could survive long in a horror movie cause she can be pretty defenceless without her magical ability.

Well those are 3 characters that I think wouldn’t survive in a horror movie.

Yayy! It’s almost Halloween and if you have seen my post you’ll know that I love Halloween, I might be my favourite holiday. The best part of Halloween is costumes and that’s what this post is all about, basically you have to let me know of some characters that you would like to dress up as.

NEWT SCAMANDER

I love Newt Scamander he is adorable and he’s my favourite character in Fantastic Beast, I think being newt is a super cool costume, its kinda hard to pull off (because of the coat) but an awesome costume. it’s a bit harder to do

2. KELL MARESH

I feel like this could be pretty simple, I put this on here because I love his coat, I mean wouldn’t be awesome that you had 1 coat the could book like 100? You would most probably need red hair ~~which I don’t have~~ but you could just get a wig.

3. KATNISS EVERDEEN

This is a pretty easy costume, you just wear leather and a black shirt/pants, of course the hard part of this costume is the bow but you could most probably find one at a Halloween store, and of course you can’t forget the classic mocking jay pin.
